To date BTS fans have helped us donate over $13,000 to worthwhile charities!

 

The Freedom Scholarship Fund is proud to announce a $1,000 donation has been made to Covenant House (PA) in honor of Suga’s birthday. Since 1972, Covenant House has opened its doors to over 1.5 million young people experiencing homelessness and trafficking, one youth at a time.

 

The Freedom Scholarship Fund is pleased to announce a $1,000 donation was made to Accent Dance in honor of J-hope’s birthday.  Accent Dance NYC is a non-profit organization dedicated to arts education and concert dance performance.  Since it’s inception, Accent Dance NYC has served over 11,000 pre-K and school-age children in New York City, Westchester County, and the greater Northeast through its two signature education programs: Dance Education Residencies and Educational Dance Performances. Programming includes a wide range of dance forms, including, among others, African dance, step, salsa, tango, creative movement, hip hop, and ballet.

The Freedom Scholarship Fund is pleased to announce a $1,000 donation was made to The Gift of Music Foundation.  The Gift of Music Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to creating greater accessibility to music programs, instruments, teachers and the overall benefits of music education.

Founded in 2015 as a response to an ongoing nationwide decline of funding and lack of prioritization for music education, our organization is diligently working to ensure access to music for the country’s at-risk youths. We do this by forming critical partnerships with music teachers, public schools and organizations to reinforce our core belief that music matters!

 

The Freedom Scholarship Fund is pleased to announce a $1,000 donation was made to Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas in honor of BTS Jin’s birthday. This is the sister rescue to the one in South Korea that Jin has donated to. Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas is a 501(c)3 non-profit 100% volunteer dog rescue that rescues dogs from South Korea from extreme conditions like dog meat farms and offer them the life and families they deserve.

 

The Freedom Scholarship Fund is proud to annouce a $1,000 donation has been made to Dance To Unite to start The Park Jimin Scholarship For Dance. Dance To Unite is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that utilizes dance and guided conversations about values as a vehicle to teach and to celebrate cultural diversity.

 

The Freedom Scholarship fund is pleased to announce our latest donation ($1,000.00) honoring BTS member RM (Kim Namjoon) for his birthday. Meet service dog Moni (Rapmon) who we named in memory of RM’s beloved dog that crossed the rainbow bridge recently. Service dog Moni will be receiving her training at the non-profit Circle Tail facility in Pleasant Plain, Ohio. Once her training is complete she will be placed with an adult in need of her services. We will be receiving updates from Circle Tail on her progress and we will post photos, video and updates on Moni as we receive them. Circle Tail (a registered non-profit 501©3) was established in 1997.

 

On September 1, 2023 a $1,000 donation was made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of Jeon Junkook (known as JK) of BTS.  We think that JK would approve our our decision.

 

On April 30, 2023 The Freedom Scholarship Fund donated $1,000.00 to All Kids Need Music in honor of Jung Ho-seok (known as Jhope) of BTS.  We think Jhope would be so proud of this decision.

 

On March 28, 2023 The Freedom Scholarship Fund donated $2,000.00 to All Kids Need Music in honor of Kim Taeyhung (known as V).  We think V would be so proud of this decision.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On July 15, 2022 The Freedom Scholarship Fund donated $1,000.00 to the Center For Modern Dance Education to establish The Park Jimin Scholarship For Modern Dance in honor of Park Jimin of BTS.  This scholarship will be awarded to a male student and pay his tuition for one full year of dance instruction.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On June 15, 2022 The Freedom Scholarship Fund donated $1,000.00 to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in honor of Kim Namjoon (known as RM) for his love of books.  Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family’s income.

 

On December 1, 2022 The Freedom Scholarship Fund donated $1,000.00 to The Trevor Project in honor of Min Yoongi (know as Suga). The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) young people.
